A native of Puerto Peñasco, Eli knows the town inside and out and has built strong, long-standing relationships with many trusted local vendors and service providers.
His deep knowledge of the vacation rental market and commitment to personalized service have earned the trust of property owners and the loyalty of returning guests. Zederic, Carlos, and Francisco are the expert customer service professionals at the front desk of Mar de Cortez Rentals. With over 7 years of experience, they are dedicated to ensuring an exceptional experience for every guest. Whether it’s in person, over the phone, by email, or via text message, they are always ready to assist with any needs promptly and with the utmost care.
They possess all around knowledge of our rental properties, as well as the city and are well-equipped to assist clients in selecting the ideal accommodation to ensure a truly memorable vacation experience. Additionally, providing dedicated support to property owners, promptly addressing any needs or concerns to maintain smooth and efficient property management at all times.
Daniel Gonzalezpico has been part of the Mar de Cortez Rentals team since 2013. He began as a property inspector and later transitioned into an administrative role, where he now oversees the payment of utilities, maintenance services, trust fees (fideicomisos), payroll, and more.
He also handles the submission of all necessary documentation to the accounting department to ensure that both the company’s taxes and those of the property owners in the rental pool are filed and paid correctly.
Daniel is known for his attention to detail and commitment to making sure everything is paid on time and in order—giving our property owners peace of mind and one less thing to worry about.
Victor Cervantes began his journey in the tourism industry alongside Eli Ibarra back in 2004. A longtime friend and early collaborator, Victor played a key role in the founding of Mar de Cortez Rentals in 2010, bringing his tech skills and fearless attitude to the table from day one.
He was instrumental in developing the company’s first website and helped launch its original rental software. In 2016, he officially joined the company full-time and now leads all technology-related efforts, including web development, software management, marketing, mass emails, and tech support.
Known for his “say yes to everything” spirit and dedication, Victor is the company’s trusted technology expert, always ready to tackle any challenge with creativity and commitment. His contributions continue to shape the growth and innovation of Mar de Cortez Rentals.
Carlos and Benjamín are the dedicated inspectors responsible for ensuring that all of our homes and condos are in perfect condition before the arrival of property owners or guests. They carefully check that everything inside the property is functioning at 100%—from Wi-Fi and air conditioning to electricity and plumbing—and take care of any issues before check-in.
They also make sure that each property is fully stocked with all the essentials for a comfortable stay, including:
toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, broom, mop, dustpan, hand soap, dish soap, tissues, shampoo, and body soap, among other basics. They also deliver purified water jugs to the properties, ensuring guests have clean drinking water available upon arrival.
In addition, Carlos and Benjamín inspect the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of each property to ensure everything meets our high standards—so guests can enjoy a memorable and worry-free vacation.
